Happy Birthday Chocablog!

Chocablog is two years old today! Yay!

It doesn’t seem like two years. If it wasn’t for the fact that my body weight has doubled, I wouldn’t have believed it myself. But it’s true.

Over the last two years we’ve posted 355 posts, received 1,556 comments (not including the 54,898 spam comments we deleted), done 1 redesign and gained a rather stonking 639 subscribers. We love you all. But unfortunately, we only have enough celebratory chocolate cake for ourselves. Sorry.

So thank you for joining us on our chocolatey journey. With Easter just around the corner (and that nice Mr Tesco delivering me 5 Easter eggs later today!), we suspect things are only going to get chocolatey-er…

I’ll celebrate by sampling some Haigh’s dark and writing an article comparing the Easter chocolate novelties available down here in Oz at the moment.

Congratulations, and well done of two years of Great Reviews! and A drink (Hot chocolate of course (with maybe a few dashes of rum)) to the next two, three…Future.

Celebrating tonight with a bag of raffaello, oddly a chocolate I have never had, despite a love of coconut.

@EyeDE: Strangely, I had some Raffaello last week. I bought it for a review without knowing what it was, but there isn’t actually any chocolate in it! It was very nice, but Chocablog is a chocolate-only zone, so Raffaello isn’t eligible for review. 🙂

Ummm, Have to admit it was not exactly what I was expecting, on the whole a bit of a disappointment, sweet praline, coconut, and the, what I can best describe as “yogurt” is just far to sweet (Yogurt as in the white coating found on raisins etc, and I do have reservations as to what exactly it is never seeing ‘hard yogurt’ in the dairy section of a shop yet). The whole thing just doesn’t seem to blend as one, very sweet and bitty, I wont be rushing out to get more, or even encouraging any more gifts.

Mind Nothing coconut will ever compare to the Lindt coconut bar I once picked up in the clearance section of wittard of chelsea, It was a thin bar of Lindt (fruit range I believe) with a thin layer of very strong, very smooth coconut cream in the middle, It was heaven! Since then all I have been able to find is there Coconut bar made from dessicated coconut mixed into the chocolate, and to be honest it’s a bit disappointing.

  9. Happy Birthday to you all, glad you’ve been and hope you’ll continue to be.
