Bought this and the tonka bean milk chocolate bar today. Very much enjoyed the macadamia bar but i think the tonka bar has the edge. It took a lot of self restraint not to finish it in one go but I’m proud to report I still have two squares left!

lottie, I reviewed the Strawberry limited edition just last night! It should be published fairly soon. I won’t tell you what I thought of it yet but am interested in your opinion :D

Thanks for that! I have located and purchased a tonka bean, macademia and a “limited edition” strawberry, and am very smug. On the tonka bean at the moment, and it’s really lovely. The flavour isn’t too overpowering and the chocolate is obviously very high quality. Bravo Thorntons!
I’m surprised these aren’t being advertised with much gusto, being award-winning and all that. The Thorntons brand hasn’t had so much prestige in a long while, so I would’ve thought they’d be making the most of it. Perhaps they want to get rid of the father’s day rush first. After all we are simple folk, and can’t take more than one line of advertising at a time :)

I’m in agreement here – very moreish little bar with a great combination of flavours. Easy to see why it garnered an award. I too am looking forward to the tonka bean bar.

I went, I bought, I conquered :)
The bar is simply delicious, the chocolate quite intense, but not overpowering, the salt just barely there. You don’t need much to feel satisfied.
I bought the Tonka Bean bar, too, and the balsamic one (3 bars for £5 – who could resist an offer like this?) but haven’t tried them yet.

I don’t think you can go wrong with macadamia, and if you add a pinch of salt, it has to be good. I’ll keep my eyes open for this little bar!
