I’m originally from Detroit, MI and Sander’s was and I think still is made there. They used to have free standing shops that served “ladies lunches” and hand dipped milkshakes (midwest definition) but they were most famous for their ice cream filled cream puffs topped with their awesome chocolate fudge sauce. The company went out of business for a while so all the soda fountains were closed but someone but the name and the recipes and started making their products again much to the everlasting delight of a generation of Michiganians.

I think these were too mint intense for my test kitchen pals. The old folks ate the remainders in the blink of an eye, though, and I highly recommend them for any form of cotton mouth. Let’s just say they would have come in handy on Ash Wednesday.
Pattie is a pretty good description; kind of large, like a honkin’ big hamburger pattie.

Probably not really ‘dinner’ as such – beans on toast ok?
Probably not really a party either – I have no friends. :(

Pattie makes me think of Spongebob Squarepants and his Krabby Patties. I can do all the voices from Spongebob Squarepants by the way ;)
