Julian.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt this once (and yes, I've seen your comment on my personal blog).

1. We are absolutely not paid by choc companies for the reviews we do. They are always impartial, personal opinions.

2. We are (currently) 3 people who write bout chocolate because we love chocolate. None of us work in the chocolate industry or are connected with chocolate companies. We sometimes get sent review samples, and when we do, we make that clear in our reviews.

3. We write about chocolate because it's *fun*, so try to stay out of politics as much as possible.

4. There are plenty of fair trade and organic chocs reviewed on chocablog. If you can't see them, you're not looking very hard.

5. Yes, 2/3 of us have children. I don't see that that's any of your concern though.

6. Now you're just being silly.

If you'd like to have a serious discussion, that's fine. But if you just want to cause trouble, I will have to remove your comments.

So,

are all your reviewers paid by commission,

or are you on retainers to the 'big chocolate' companies

for this online marketing exercise?

And if you're not, then...

where are all the pages of information about the politics of chocolate,

and the economics of chocolate?

And where are the reviews of all the fair trade chocolate companies' chocolates?

Do none of you have children?

Does the thought of slavery not make each morsel of chocolate stick in your throats?
