Thank you Hilary, I have finally found another person that is questioning what on Earth happened to the Galaxy Smooth Dark bar. I too have been searching for it for months and months, from Tesco and Sainsburys to convenience stores all across London. I can’t stand the craving any more!! Somebody find me one!!

Galaxy dark chocolate makes the best chocolate mousse of any, and I mean any, brand of dark chocolate. Which makes it very sad that I haven’t been able to find any for months and months. Please don’t say that it isn’t made any more.

I bought this Dark Galaxy in a West London Branch of Tesco about three weeks ago. I thought it was the nicest plain chocolate I’ve ever tasted, at least as good as any premium brands. It was clean and not cloying. But since then I have been unable to find it in various Tescos. It’s as if it’s been Withdrawn!
I only found this website because I was beginning to worry I was imagining I’d had, in fact, a Galaxy product after all! I wanted to check if such a thing really existed! From what other people are saying it is clear that everyone has different expectations of a chocolate bar. However I would say to anyone, try the Galaxy Dark if its still on sale. I rate it Good.

I’m not a fan of dark chocolate but had a bar of this in a Galaxy easter egg pack and i must say it was actually quite delicious.
It wasn’t at all overpowering as most dark chocolate is, had a nice smooth texture and wasn’t half as sickly as Galaxy’s milk chocolate.

i just bought this… and was highly disappointed. i noticed from the very first bite that it was absolutely brimming with sugar… eurgh! dark chocolate implies bitter and strong. yet this bar was smooth, silky, sweet. personally, i could never recommend this to fellow dark chocolate lovers.

Teresa – it’s available in my local Sainsburys (UK) and it’s not a huge branch, so I assume it’s fairly easily found.
