Chocolate prevents skin cancer

This is interesting.

Scientists (those clever people!) have found that the flavanoids in chocolate can help prevent skin cancer.

“Moreover, after 12 weeks of consuming the flavanol-rich cocoa, the women’s skin was 16 percent denser, 11 percent thicker, 13 percent moister, 30 percent less rough, and 42 percent less scaly than it was at the beginning of the experiment.”

Unfortunately, it’s not just any chocolate, as normal processing methods remove most of the flavanoids, but Mars are said to be working products that retain their flavanoids.

Personally, I can’t wait. I’m particularly susceptible to skin cancer, so the sooner I can get creme eggs on prescription, the better… 😉
