This "Chocolate Exchange" forum came about because of this post by a Chocablog Reader who asked for other chocaholics around the world to share chocolate with.

So if you're looking for someone to swap chocs with, post here and tell people a bit about yourself - where in the world you are, and where you'd like chocolate from!

If you're interested in swapping chocs with someone here, just send them a PM - never give your address out in public!

Heh. I was trying not to be TOO clever with the forum names, but I've added that to the description of this one. :)

Hi Dom, thanks for creating this forum: I was really looking forward to it!
As I said relping to Nada, I am willing to swap chocs with other chocaholics around the world (no exceptions!)
So... something about me: I am Italian and I live in Udine, in the north-eastern corner of my country (to the east of Venice; 30km away from Slovenia and 100km away from Austria). If my English is sometimes funny or uncorrect, please forgive me: I did graduate in English at the university, but my current work gives me little chance to pracitce it... Anyway, corrections or suggestions are welcome!
Chocs I would like to receive: of any kind, both industrial and handcrafted, from all around the world. I like almost all kinds of chocs, but I am not very keen on white chocolate and on mint (I can make exceptions though!). In any case, I enjoy all kind of strange and new combinations and I am curious about producers I do not know. Of course, it must be a chocolate not available here: I guess we'll just have to check that out each time, but it will be interesting to discover what we already have on each other's market.
Well, enough about me for now. I am ready to reply to further questions and/or requests for Italian chocolate
    Bye from Italy!

I know this is trivial, but the image associated to my name is really horrible.... I wanted to change it but couldn't from the "edit profile" webpage. Is it possible or am I just too clumsy?

Hi all. I'm Jarkko and I live in northern (well, central really...) Finland in a town called Oulu. My work is basically being an IT nerd, but my main hobby is running a society of chocoholics here in Finland. We review chocolates on our website (in Finnish only) and we have around 40 members from all over Finland. You can read a bit about us in english on page http://www.suklaayhdistys.com/english.php if you like. Our society has been around for a little under 4 years now.

So far I have reviewed 1157 of the 1738 chocolates reviewed on our website, but the number is growing by a few each week. There are chocolates from many parts of the world on our site, bit I'm always looking for more...

I am interested in most kinds of chocolate bars/tablets at this moment. Maybe mainly milk chocolates, but dark and white are OK as well. Of course only the ones I have not reviewed before. What I can offer in return is basically the finnish chocolate manufacturers range from Fazer, Panda and Brunberg (mostly bars/tablets). Also the Swedish manufacturer Marabou (owned by Kraft Foods) has it's range on sale in Finland.

Please PM me is you are interested in doing some choco exchange. Let me know where in the world you are and I can then make some suggestions on what I might like.

Hi! I live in the US, in the state of Oregon. There are a couple of local artisan chocolatiers I have access to, plus of course any mass-produced US chocolates. Theo Chocolate is a great company, the only organic, fair-trade, bean-to-bar chocolate factory in the US. I have access to most of their chocolate bars and some of their truffles and caramels.

As for myself, I like milk chocolate the most, white chocolate the least (unless it is accompanied by a darker chocolate). I like dark chocolates best in truffles, not so much in straight chocolate form. I also love marzipan/chocolate confections, and new exotic flavor combinations! If anyone is interested, let me know!

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I also live very close to the warehouse for chocosphere.com. So if anybody wants to include something from that site, you could place an order and I could pick it up and ship it to you along with any other chocolates I may be sending you.

Hi there! My name's Maggie, I'm 26 and I'm originally from Poland, but I've been living in London for over three years now and not planning to move anytime soon. I have access to Polish chocolates through my mum and my local Polish shop, so if anyone would like to give it a try, let me know. Everything available in the UK is obviously within my reach, too. I work close to a Thornton's shop, as well as a newly opened Hotel Chocolat store, so if you're a non-UK resident and want toget your hands on any of their products, drop me a line.

There is a chocolate shop here. They make all kinds of hand made chocolates. If anyone wants to swap, just post here and I can arrange to mail anywhere in the world. I do suggest that we mail during the winter or fall. Summer heat would be bad for the chocolates.

Hi. I'm from the land of chocolate (Belgium, that is ;) ), and would gladly swap some yummy goodness from time to time.

Be warned though: shipping delicate chocolates (e.g. "pralines" from Godiva, Neuhaus, Leonidas, etc.) isn't all that recommended as they melt/get messed up rather easily. And that would be a damn shame, now wouldn't it?

To get in touch: my nickname @ my nickname dot com... ;)

    Cheers!
