We spent 5 days in Brussels, this was in 2006 so I think Sarita (my daughter) was 11.
Chocolate was one of the main inspirations for going to Belgium, but number one was waffles.

Not only did we find tons to do (like city tour, the Atonium, the museums, eating, the fish market, eating a bit more, the Musical Instruments and dinner at the top floor which used to be the English Stores and has a breath taking view of the city, so: more eating! LOL)
So much we had to see , that we couldn't make it to Bruges...maybe one weekend after Easter we ll do that...but we both loved Brussels...maybe the way you travel makes a huge difference....when people show you things the way they want you to see them...well, that can be the result.

The same thing regarding the chocolate *culture*..... we didn't go to Planet Chocolate, we went to a tiny, small house that has the Chocolate Museum, where an old lady, graciously dressed all in white with the lil hat, told us all about chocolate whilst she was making them....and the museum had some amazing pieces of old equipment...(lots of photos, again!)

but anyway, LOVE your photos here.....and promise to bring you some chocs if we do get there again!!! :)

I spent a weekend in Brussels and thoroughly enjoyed it. We found plenty to do - not just eating chocolate and drinking, by the way. I'm a little jealous that I was otherwise engaged. I'm definitely up for Paris or Amsterdam though!

Excellent putting the travel photos and video in. Fantastic. I'd have loved to do something like that (apart from the early start). Shame the rest of the family are not mad keen on train travel.
